
AVI often has mp3 as the audio format which is not something used by Macs for audio with video. AVI is a container so it doesn't have a rigid set of formats for the enclosed tracks. You might give it a try (and report back here 🙂 ).ĪVIs might present problems. I haven't used it so I don't know how successful it is. QT Sync is a freeware utility that has a combine movies tool. I don't have any version of QT Pro more recent than about 1997. I can't guarantee anything but I think getting Quicktime Pro might let you do what you want to do.


I also know my ancient version of QT Pro will edit. I know QT player will play AVI when Perian codecs are installed.
